Jogjakarta Food

Food, I love food and I love Jogjakarta food. Why, it is not as spicy as the food in Bali. It was actually kinda sweet.

So, what did we eat there? Everything.

Jogja is a muslim town, so, no pork here. We ate a lot of bakso (meatballs cooked in noodle soup), a traditional dish called Gudeg and a lot of different kueh (desserts). Jogja also specialises in this biscuit called Bak Pneah. Bak actually means meat but trust me, this biscuit does not have meat in it. It is filled with cheese, or chocolate, or durian or strawberry. There are a lot of various flavours. It is really yummy.

My parents and Aunty Yenni and Uncle Stephen went to this place called JeJamuran which specialises in mushrooms. Everydish is made of mushroom, mushroom sate, mushroom veges, mushroom soup even a mushroom drink. I don't really like mushroom so I am glad the kids stayed back in the hotel.
