Before we head out, we had our daily breakfast at Dewali cafe. Then the kids did the usual hanging out by the pool while the adults chatted away and drank their coffee. Bitha!!! What have you done? Poor Bitha fell into the pool. She laughed and yelled out, "This is the best day because I get to swim".
Our first stop was the batik factory. We saw how batik is drawn and printed. It looks super hard, I guess that's why they charge you an arm and a leg for them.
Silver Factory
Our second stop was the silver factory. The ladies are making silver jewellery by hand. Wow, it looks difficult too. No wonder they cost so much. The jewellery are so beautiful. Mum bought us earrings and herself bracelets.
Art Gallery
Third stop, the art gallery. We saw many beautiful art works. We also saw the artist drawing them. The kids decided to try their hand playing chess. Not much fun. Mum saw some beautiful porches and the art gallery even had a big giant bed. It is made of solid wood, how can anyone sleep in it.
Dad bought a very expensive painting of a beautiful Balinese lady. I can't wait to see it framed and hung up at home. The colours are so bright and beautiful.
Babi Guling
We are hungy mums and dad, feed us. For lunch, we are having babi guling (roast pork). Yum, the pork is so tender, the crackling crunchy. Crunch! Crunch! Cruch! So yummy. Everyone is so quiet, busy eating and ejoying their cracklings. Kids protect your crackling, the dads are eyeing them.
Aunty Yenni ordered everyone coconut water too. Bali has such big giant coconuts. So tasty, so refreshing in this hot weather.
After our feast, the kids wanted some ice blocks, so mummy bought all us kids hand made ice blocks. They are so tasty, perfect for this hot weather.
Tegalalang Rice Terrace
Time to exercise. After eating so much for lunch, we decided to walk off our food by tracking the rice terrace at Tegalalang. Puff! Puff! This is hard work, down and up we go. Can you spot us in our photos? I can't belief the Balinese people can walk this terrace so fast and on top of that, carrying baskets of supplies. They make it look so easy.
Kopi Luwak
Kopi luwak is the world’s . The main reason of it’s high price is the weird method of producing the coffee. Apparently, it has been produced from the coffee beans which by a certain Indonesian called then palm or also . This is the reason is also called . The feces of this cat will be collected, finished and sold as kopi luwak.
Yuck! I can't belief why people would drink pop coffee. Blah!
