Beautiful Bali - Day 1

Flight to Bali
Hurrah!!! We are finally going to Bali. I am so excited as finally I get to see my Uncle Iggy and Aunty Esra after many, many years. As a bonus, I get to meet Lucius their 4 year old son for the first time. It is going to be so much fun. Uncle Iggy is the funniest person ever.

We have landed! Woo Hoo, it is so hot but welcome to paradise!

Daddy, took a photo of me boarding our plan, Lion air.

Weeeee, we are in the air!

We have finally landed!

Four Points, Seminyak
After an hours drive, we have arrived at our hotel Four Points, Seminyak. The hotel is so beautiful. It is next to a rice padi field. My Uncle Iggy said people actually plant and harvest the padi in that field. The staff at the hotel are so friendly. Incredible, they even give out apple juice for free. Yum, yum, so refreshing after a long flight and super hot weather.

Look at the pool area, it is so relaxing and inviting. I can't wait to dive in. You know what, I think I am going to like it here.

I see Uncle Iggy, he is standing there right in front of us. ''Hello" he said in a happy voice, ''Hi'' we replied back. He asked all the kids to call him handsome uncle but only Josh said it so uncle Iggy said that Josh was his favourite. Uncle Iggy is so funny.

Hotel shuttle golf cart
Common everyone, lets explore. We took the hotel shuttle which looks like a golf cart out to the main road. Wee!!!!! this is so cool, the wind is blowing into my face, the cart is going so fast. This is so much fun.

Check it out we managed to fit 13 people into the cart. Can you spot me at the back?

Warong Eropa
Let's the feasting begin. Our first stop, Warong Eropa. It has the best fried bebek (duck) in town. This is so worth the wait, the duck is so crispy, you can chew through the bone. Defintely a must to try if you are in Bali.

Livingstone Cafe

After lunch, we wandered around town and found this super cool cafe, Livingstone cafe. It is such a cute cafe. There are so many yummy cakes in there. They have a pug cake, pokemon cupcakes and even a Nutella cake, literary, a Nutella cake not a Nutella flavoured cake. Sorry, I keep saying Nutella because, it is really, a Nutella cake. Nutella!

Watermelon bread (so beautiful). The actually smell like watermelons.

Metis restaurant

After a big lunch and an even bigger dessert tea, we walked around Bali town. The roads here are so narrow and there are so many motorbikes, cars, and food carts. Balinese people are very religous too, they offer flower baskets to their Gods. Mummy told me not to step over or on them as it is disrespectful. So, I have to be extra careful when I walk so as not to accidentally step into one of these baskets.  This is going to be tricky as it is every where.

After walking for a while, we saw the most beautiful restaurant ever. It had a beautiful green lawn, ponds, big giant trees. We decided to go inside it. Wow, it is even more beautiful inside than out. I bet it must be very expensive to eat here.

Naughty Nuri's
We are going to eat pork ribs for dinner. This is our first pork meal since we arrived to Indonesia. Pork is hard to find in Jakarta but in Bali, it is every where. I can't wait.
Naughty Nuri's sell the best pork ribs. Mummy ordered pork ribs but Andrew and I decided to have burgers. Check out my burger, yum.

Sorry there is no photos of the ribs, we were so hungry, we polished them off and forgot to take photos of them. Definitely a must eat when you are in Bali.

Anyway, this is the end of our first day in Bali. Stay tuned to A holiday in Paradise Bali - Day 2 where more eating will take place.
