Jakarta is a city of malls. There is over 100 malls in Jakarta. They are all so big and colourful. Some new and some old. Some are over 10 stories high. There are even malls which have churches, water parks, basketball courts, tennis courts, gymnasium and ballet schools. The malls have so many restaurants too and clothing and shoe stores. My mum and dad have been shopping non stop since we arrived. I think mummy has already bought 3 pairs of shoes. Daddy is going to faint.
Gandaria City Mall
The mall closest to our apartment is called Gandaria City Mall. This mall has a giant cinema. Uncle Stephen took us to watch a movie called Sing at this cinema. Sing is about a koala named Buster Moon who has one final chance to restore his theater to its former glory by producing the world's greatest singing competition. I am so glad to be in Jakarta as this movie hasn't even opened in Auckland.

Here are some photos of us at the Gandaria Mall. The first photo is of Evie in front of Starbucks. She likes the tiled floor.
Here is a photo of me touching the big giant bauble.
This is Evie again with the view of the mall behind her. Check out the roof.
Star Wars fever at the mall. These are the actual stars of the movie. Well, that's what I think.
Here is another photo of Evie, Bitha and me at one of the food courts.
Kota Kasablanka
On Sunday, we went to church at Jakarta Praise Christian Center (JPCC). The church was in a mall called Kota Kasablanka. I have neven been to a church in a mall before. It was so cool. We got to do craft and it was amazing.
After church, we went swimming at a water park in the mall. I have never seen a water park/swimming pool in a mall before. We had so much fun but we forgot to put on sunblock and so we ended up getting sun burned.
Here is a photo of Josh, Bitha and me at the water park which is on the roof top of the mall.
After our swim we went shopping at Kota Kasablanka. Guess what I found daddy, Super Dry. Daddy took my brother to Malaysia to make his ID card. Look daddy, buy one get one free, you are missing out. Don't worry, I will get you a t-shirt for your Christmas present. I also bought myself two t-shirts from Super Dry because I want to be just like my dad.
Pacific Place
We visited a very expensive mall yesterday. It is called Pacific Place. This was the first mall my Uncle Stephen and his family frequent as they used to stay at the Ritz Carlton. This mall is so nice, they have very expensive shops too. Mummy, look your favourite bag shop, Louis Vuitton!
Star Wars fever is in town, the mall is all decorate with Star Wars theme. Check it out.
Senayan City
Another day another mall. This one had live music with singers singing songs from Sister Act the movie. There were also a lot of expensive shops. This mall is very big and spacious. Uncle Stephen said this is his favourite mall and I agree.
